CANADA IMMIGRATION NEWS | EXPRESS ENTRY PNP DRAW & NEW BRUNSWICK AIP OCCUPATION UPDATE

Canada’s immigration landscape has two reported developments for Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) candidates and workers exploring opportunities through the Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP).

1. Express Entry Draw #448 Reportedly Issues 752 Invitations

According to secondary immigration sources, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) held a PNP-specific Express Entry draw on 13 October 2026, reportedly issuing 752 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) to candidates with a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 772.

A provincial nomination adds 600 CRS points to an eligible Express Entry candidate’s score, significantly improving their ranking in PNP-specific draws.

Candidates without a provincial nomination can continue exploring other Express Entry pathways and category-based selection rounds.

2. New Brunswick AIP Occupation Restrictions Reportedly Relaxed

A separate report indicates that New Brunswick removed several occupation restrictions for employers seeking endorsements under the Atlantic Immigration Program, effective 14 October 2026. Four occupations reportedly remain excluded.

If confirmed, this change could expand opportunities for some workers seeking employer-supported immigration through the AIP. However, eligibility still depends on the employer, occupation, endorsement requirements and provincial allocations.

The revised occupation list should be checked against official New Brunswick government guidance before applicants make decisions.

Important Points

  • Express Entry: 752 PNP invitations reportedly issued at a CRS cut-off of 772.

  • New Brunswick AIP: Several occupation restrictions reportedly removed from 14 October 2026.

  • Who may be affected: Express Entry candidates with provincial nominations and eligible workers seeking New Brunswick AIP endorsement.
